The client:
A specialist equipment supplier to construction, highways, and events sector. With innovative products and booming demand this client needed a reliable recruitment partner able to help them plan manpower growth. They unexpectedly needed an Operations Director and only had 7 weeks before the current incumbent leaves. They were feeling the pressure.
The scenario:
This client had been using a ‘Head-hunter’ for all their recruitment for a number of years. They were using them through habit even though relationship had become stale. They were overpaying and had been convinced that every piece of recruitment required a search approach, staged payment and a 3- month minimum timescale.
The solution:
Having addressed the inefficiency of their current supplier we established a sensible and achievable timescale and process. By appointing an experienced Consultant to lead the project we soon had advertising in place, databases searched, and a shortlist of high-quality candidates lined up for interview.
The client was impressed by the speed and quality of our approach. The new Ops Director was appointed in 6 weeks, and we even found them 2 Service Engineers as well all within the same timescale. Ultimately the client paid just over half the anticipated fees for these positions and had expected it to drag on for months.
