Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Statement

At Hunter Selection, we are deeply committed to embedding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion into everything we do. These principles are not only essential to the wellbeing of our people, but also to the success and vitality of our business. We go beyond compliance with anti-discrimination laws by integrating ED&I into our daily operations, ensuring that every member of our workforce is part of this journey.

Our achievements, including B Corp certification, an EcoVadis Bronze medal, and Achilles Verified & Silver Plus membership, validate our efforts and inspire us to keep raising the bar.

We believe recruitment should be fair, inclusive, and free from bias. That means selecting and promoting candidates based on merit, skills, and potential, while strongly opposing any form of harassment, discrimination, or intimidation.

What does this actually mean?

Through our recruitment services and supply chain, we actively promote these values to clients, candidates, and partners. Our approach is designed to unlock untapped talent pools and create equitable, bias-free experiences. From exploratory interviews that focus on future potential, to gender decoding technology that ensures job adverts are inclusive, we remove barriers at every stage of the process.

We provide tailored support for candidates from underrepresented groups — whether that’s adjustments for neurodiverse applicants, guidance for those facing digital exclusion, or helping armed forces leavers showcase their transferable skills and use a job board called CTP. By partnering with Diversity Jobs Recruit and their ten targeted job boards, we reach candidates who might otherwise be overlooked.

Internally, our ED&I working group leads training and development, with all consultants accredited through APSCo’s Inclusive+ Recruiter programme. We capture diversity data annually, review candidate feedback, and use these insights to refine our practices and track progress against our goals and advise clients on their own inclusive hiring strategies.

Community is central to who we are. Each team member receives an annual “give back” day to support causes close to their heart, from mentoring in schools to volunteering with charities such as Smart Works Bristol and Ablaze Bristol. We also proudly support the Mental Health in Recruitment initiative, tackling stigma and promoting wellbeing across the industry.

While we cannot guarantee a diverse shortlist, we do guarantee that our recruitment process is inclusive, fair, and designed to give every candidate the opportunity to succeed. Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to a more equitable recruitment community and help our clients build diverse, high-performing teams.
