Hunter Selection Proud to Sponsor the Food & Drink Award at the Made in Wales Awards 2026
The very best of Welsh manufacturing was recognised at this year’s Made in Wales Awards 2026, bringing together businesses from across the country to celebrate excellence across the sector.
Held at Cardiff’s iconic Coal Exchange, the awards showcased the achievements of forward-thinking manufacturers across a range of industries, from engineering and technology through to sustainability, exports and food & drink.
Hunter was proud to once again sponsor the Food & Drink Award, a category that reflects one of Wales’ most vibrant and innovative manufacturing sectors.
This year’s category featured a fantastic group of businesses. Shortlisted companies included Radnor Preserves, Blaenafon Cheddar, Grounds for Good, Epicurean Chocolatiers, Welsh Cottage Cakes and Welsh Coffee. A special congratulations also goes to Llanfairpwll Distillery, which was recognised as the highly commended contender.
We are delighted to congratulate Just Love Food on being named the winner of the Food & Drink Award. The company continues to make a meaningful difference through its allergen-free food products. They have also successfully expanded beyond celebration cakes into healthcare and education settings. Its commitment to innovation and quality makes it a worthy recipient of this year’s award.
The evening was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Welsh manufacturing as a whole. From AI innovation and sustainability initiatives to major investment projects and export success stories, the awards highlighted the breadth of talent, investment and expertise across the sector.
David Biggs, one of the senior consultants within Hunter’s Engineering & Manufacturing division says:
