1st Line Support
I am currently seeking a 1st Line Support Engineer to work in a well-established, independent local business.
You will provide support to hardware and software products. You will also work on and fix Laptops and PC’s, operating system faults, and you may be involved in mobile device repair, along with other additional responsibilities as required. You will also get involved in the support of Office 365, along with telephony and CCTV systems.
Knowledge of some or all of the following technologies would be advantageous:
– Windows Operating Systems
– Active Directory
– Printer and scanner fixes
– 1st and 2nd Line IT Support
– Helpdesk or Service Desk experience in a phone and face to face environment
You will also be:
Providing technical support services for customers
Understanding of Networking, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP and Proxy Servers
Understanding of VOIP communications
Comfortable with CRM systems
Familiar with mobile devices and tablet technology, including Windows and Android OS’s
Liaising with the technical development team on product support issues.
Assisting in the production of technical support documentation.
This position will suit an individual with previous experience in a first line helpdesk position. Ideally, you will also have a qualification in IT such as a BTEC Level 3, Comptia A+, or a Microsoft certification. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential prerequisites of this role.
