I am working with a business looking to take on a Buyer on a six month fixed term contract due to ongoing projects.. Working with a leading manufacturing business, this would be well suited to a candidate experienced in the field of procurement and purchasing. This position will provide you with the opportunity to work with a business who are working on exciting projects for a market leader.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Project Co-ordination: Supporting the project team with scheduling, budgeting, documentation and communication. Including tracking project timelines, budgets and other related admin duties.
Sourcing and Supplier Relations: Identify key supplier and evaluate their capabilities – assisting with contracts and pricing where required.
Purchase Order Management: Creating and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy. Identifying and escalating risks, gaps or inconsistencies if necessary.
Work with Internal Project Team: Throughout the duration of the contract, the procurement project co-ordinator will work closely with the internal project team including procurement, sales, design and customer services departments.
Compliance: Ensuring all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Streamlining procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

Manufacturing background.
Experience in a procurement role.
Strong relationship and supplier management.
