A renowned manufacturer of special-purpose equipment, with a long-standing reputation and national presence, is embarking on an exciting new programme of development. To support this growth, they are seeking a Design Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

Consult with customers at site to understand their needs and requirements
Produce design drawings for quotation purposes
Create detailed drawings for issue to manufacturing
Ensure designs are within budget by working closely with estimators and sales team
Design cost effective solutions utilising standard components and manufacturing techniques wherever possible

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a design related role
BEng in Mechanical Engineering would be desirable
Familiar with AutoCAD products
Ability to hand sketch and measure at customer sites
Able to travel and work away from home
