EHS Manager – Stroud – Gloucestershire

Salary – £45,000 – £50,000 + 5% Bonus

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that’s quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book with growth into various export markets and a very close knit team they are looking for a EHS Manager to join their management team.

Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, managing conformance to ISO 14001, 45001, 50001 management systems. Implementing best practices to a manufacturing site with over 1000 employees

Work with the Senior Leadership Team to continually improve EHS programs, identify areas of improvement, lead development initiatives

Promote EHS awareness through effectively communicating and leading a high level of consultation and participation across all levels of the organization.

Maintain all EHS permits, documents, and records per regulatory and company requirements.

Develop and manage all EHS programs and policies.

Develop and conduct training programs on EHS topics including industrial hygiene, emergency preparedness, ergonomics, environmental awareness, electrical safety, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of occupational safety and regulatory compliance experience; a strong track record of leading improvements in EHS performance.

Thorough knowledge of regulatory and industry standards (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, GHS, NFPA 70E, etc.)

Previous experience in manufacturing environments leading safety and environmental efforts
