A leading mechanical and electrical contractor is currently looking for an experienced Estimator to deliver a quality standard on multiple projects – from estimation to completion. My client is renowned for their services related to mechanical and electrical contracting, inhouse design, installation, and maintenance.

Responsibilities:-

Managing all aspects of the estimating process a commercial level dealing with both the internal team and the client.
Produce the highest quality estimates using Trimble estimating software.
Accurately measure material and quantities from drawings in accordance with the specifications.
Identifying appropriate suppliers and subcontractors from the company’s supplier database or the client’s preferred supplier list.
Generating enquiries, obtaining, and analysing quotes for tender requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers.
Collating detailed price lists and bills of quantities of everything needed on each project to help inform the tender bid submission.
Monitor, report and follow up on estimates submitted using internal tracker.
Carry out site surveys and attend various meetings. These may be on Teams or in person.
Carry out project handover to the project team on successful tenders.
Ensuring compliance with the company’s latest policies and stay up to date with any changes to company procedures.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:-

An understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods
Experience as a Mechanical Building Estimator on large scale new build and commercial projects
HNC in Building Services desired but not essential
Full UK Driving Licence
