Field Service Engineer (Packaging Machinery)

£35,000 – £40,000 + Overtime (OTE £40,000 – £45,000) + Company Van + On-Call Allowance + Benefits

A well-established packaging machinery specialist is looking to add a Field Service Engineer to its growing engineering team. Covering a regional customer base, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and installing a range of packaging equipment across multiple industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with previous packaging machinery experience looking to join a business offering technical variety, training and strong earning potential through overtime.

The Role

Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on packaging machinery
Install, commission and optimise equipment at customer sites
Fault find on mechanical, electrical and automation systems
Provide customer training and technical support following installations
Work on pallet wrappers, strapping machines, carton sealing machines and carton erecting machinery
Cover a regional territory with occasional overnight stays when required

The Candidate

Previous experience working on packaging machinery or similar automated equipment
Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
Field service or maintenance engineering experience
Ability to diagnose and resolve machinery faults independently
Willingness to travel and stay away when required
Full UK driving licence

Package

£35,000 basic salary
Realistic OTE of £40,000 – £45,000 through overtime
