Field Service Engineer

Covering the Northwest (UK wide initially, however this is being reduced to a regionalised role as they expand).

£40-48,000 DOE

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the market leader in sustainable food and beverage packaging. Our client is an international giant in the industry, helping drive the sustainable packaging boom within the industry. They are looking for a service engineer to provide technical assistance to a variety of major contracts throughout the UK and to get on board with their exciting, ever-expanding project.

Role & Responsibilities:

Field Service Engineer (home based) covering the region and sometimes throughout the UK.
Service, maintenance and repairs of their wide range of tertiary packaging machinery within the beverage industry.
Ensure planned maintenance’s are carried out effectively, efficiently & within set time scales on customer sites.
Currently expected to be away 2/3 nights a week, however will be reduced.
Occasional foreign travel, 1/2 times a year, however this is optional.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

The candidate must be multi-skilled – both mechanical and electrical skillset.
Siemens control knowledge would elevate candidate massively – little bit of programming but mainly fault-finding.
Strong fault-finding.
Some hydraulics/pneumatics would be useful.
Time served in FMCG/packaging ideal but not essential.
Relevant electrical/mechanical qualification essential.
Benefits Package:
£40- 48,000 DOE

* OT at 1.5x in the week and Saturday morning + 2x Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
* Car/ car allowance.
