A well-established engineering services business specialising in pumping and water management solutions is looking to add a Field Service Engineer to its growing service team. Covering the South East, this is a varied role working across commercial, industrial and public sector customer sites on a wide range of pumping and fluid handling equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience, particularly those with a background in pumps, booster sets, wastewater systems or associated controls.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on pumping systems and associated equipment
- Complete mechanical and electrical installations, commissioning and remedial works
- Work on booster sets, pressurisation units, wastewater systems, pump stations, inverters and control panels
- Attend reactive callouts and provide fault-finding support across customer sites
- Manage van stock and ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
- Participate in a call-out rota and occasional overnight stays when required
The Candidate
- Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar engineering role
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on pumps, pump systems, HVAC equipment or water treatment equipment is highly desirable
- Analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer relationships
- Full UK driving licence
Package
- £44,638 basic salary based on a 42.5-hour week
- Overtime and travel time paid with realistic earnings of £55,000 – £60,000+
- Company van, fuel card, mobile phone and major tools provided
- 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, rising to 25 days with service
