A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of Engineering & Operations to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in Gloucester.

This is a dynamic, high‑impact role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in driving operational excellence, leading engineering strategy, and supporting the continued growth of a well‑established, forward‑thinking manufacturer. This position offers genuine career progression within a first‑class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead engineering and operational functions to ensure efficient day‑to‑day performance
Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
Drive process improvements, KPI performance, and operational excellence
Manage budgets, forecasts, and commercial decision‑making
Ensure compliance with health & safety, engineering standards, and ISO requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Proven leadership experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and project management expertise
Solid financial and commercial acumen
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills
Analytical, resilient, and solutions‑focused approach with IOSH or equivalent
