HYGIENE MANAGER
NEWTON ABBOTT, DEVON
£38,000 – £44,000 + BENEFITS

Great opportunity here to join a prestigious company in a senior role, you will have direct responsibility for managing the Hygiene team across all shifts, this is a varied role but would suit someone looking to join a high performing team that values autonomy. The majority of the Hygiene related task take place ovenright, between 6pm – 6am, therefore this individual will be required to offer flexibility with their working hours – but you could work 2pm-10pm for example on occasions.

The Role:

Lead and manage the performance and efficiency of all hygiene operatives across all shifts.
Management of cleaning schedules and effective implementation to ensure schedules are completed daily/weekly.
Writing work instructions for assembly/disassembly.
Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning equipment.
Continous improvement mindset, challenging current hygiene practices and standards across the site.
Effective communication and timely close out of corrective actions following internal and external GMP audits.
To assist with root cause investigation when incidents or trends appear
Engage with training.
Prepare and participate in audits.

The Candidate:

HND/degree in a food manufacture discipline.
Experience within a food manufacturing environment.
Experience and awareness in BRC / HACCP/ ISO 14001/ GMP Audits.
confident in managing a small team of hygiene operatives across both day and night shift.
Experience in monitoring employee performance and providing training where required.
