This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business as an Injection Mould Technician. As part of a larger group, this position will provide you with excellent training specific to site based machinery as well as external training courses. As the company grows, they will provide you with excellent long term job security. This role is well suited to a candidate who comes from the plastics industry and has experience of setting machinery as well as tooling changeovers.

Role & Responsibilities:

To undertake setting of machines, ancillary and tooling to achieve the company’s safety, quality and production targets and ensure products remain within specification.
To provide leadership and technical expertise on shift and to foster the development of the shift setters to improve their setting and processing skills.
To assist the shift in completing planned tool changes on time and to a high standard to help drive OEE performance.
To conduct new product / process trial work to help optimise processing window and minimise cycle times.
To play an active part in driving continuous improvement projects across the site and ensure all areas of waste are minimised to achieve LEAN manufacturing targets.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Experience within the plastics industry would be beneficial.
Injection moulding experience is essential in this role.
Willingness to work on shift is essential for this role.
Experience of setting machinery and tool changeovers.
