Company Overview:

An established UK-based manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a busy production facility in Coventry.

Working within a small engineering department, you’ll play a key role in supporting site operations, ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvements across the plant.

The position would suit an engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, can work independently and is comfortable operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out planned preventive maintenance activities across a range of production assets.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
Supporting equipment upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
Completing maintenance documentation and updating electronic maintenance records.
Identifying recurring issues and contributing to long-term reliability improvements.
Assisting with equipment installation, refurbishment and general engineering projects.
Monitoring spare parts usage and supporting stock control activities.
Working closely with operational teams to maintain efficient plant performance.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to diagnose basic electrical control faults.
Experience interpreting technical drawings, maintenance manuals or engineering documentation.
Fabrication and welding experience desirable.
