Would you like to work for a growing local business that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global industrial manufacturer. Due to gaining more customers and future growth plans, they are looking for some maintenance engineers to join their team.

Role & responsibilities of a maintenance engineer:

Carry out reactive maintenance & repairs of all production machinery, industrial processing equipment, site services & utilities
Dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, rollers, belts, drives
Follow PPM schedules, continuous improvement projects
Electrical – PLC fault finding, repair & wiring control panels, switches, sensors, contactors
Mechanical – fabrication, fitting, welding, manual machining to make parts/repairs

Knowledge, skills & experience need to be a maintenance engineer:

Open to either electrical or mechanical biased maintenance engineers
Apprenticeship trained
Qualified – NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in engineering
Must have worked in some form of manufacturing environment
Team player and positive character
Worked on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drives

Electrical biased skills – PLC fault finding, wiring / repairs control panels, sensors, switches
Mechanical biased skills – fabrication, fitting, welding, machining – milling, turning, grinding, lathes
