Responsibilities
- Utilising state of the art simulation techniques and design tools to design, develop and prototype electric drive systems
- Developing new methods to solve industry problems, generating market leading solutions
- Responsible for the delivery of technical work packages and whole projects
- Leading by example implementing in house technical processes to ensure it is executed to the highest quality when developing others in standards of drawings and technical reporting
- Managing multi person/cross functional projects to achieve budgeted margin and maintain an excellent relationship with customers, whilst being accountable to the operations board for their outcome
You Will Have:
- Degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related discipline to 2:1 or above OR equivalent demonstrable experience
- Experience of automotive, transmission or precision engineering design or analysis
- An aptitude for solving engineering problems, and experience in finding supporting resources
- Exposure to some of the key software packages within drivetrain engineering (SMT MASTA, Romax, Creo, UGNX, Catia)
- Able to follow key engineering processes and procedures
- High level of numeracy, an ability to apply analytical approaches and strong problem solving skills
