Monday – Friday 06:00-16:00

Our client is a leading poultry processing, production & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading UK standards. Due to growth and further expansion at the site, they are looking for an electrically biased multi-skilled maintenance engineer.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Carry out all reactive and planned maintenance throughout the slaughter, processing & packaging side of manufacturing
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
• Continuous improvement projects
• Machine installations & upgrades
• Working on conveyors, stunners, eviscerators, water bath systems, metal detectors, strappers, vacuum packers, robots, wrappers, tray sealers, labellers, site services & treatment plant
• Keep machinery working to designed output efficiency
• Dealing with motors, control panels, PLC’s, sensors, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, inverters, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, drives

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must be a multi-skilled maitnenance engineer – electrically biased
• Mechanical fautl finding skills – pumps, bearings, shafts, drives, gearboxes
• Previously have worked with automated production lines, packaging machinery & conveyors
• Must have come from meat/poutry processing industry
• Ideally have 17^th / 18^th edition
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a small team
• Strong communicator, able to build relationships
• PLC – electrical fault finding
• Compute literate – able to use CMMS systems
• Electrical fault finding & safety of (LOTO) on control panels
