Description

We are looking for an engineer to play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of this production facility in Liverpool. This position is ideal for a proactive and skilled maintenance professional seeking to contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment within the food manufacturing sector. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of our production lines, ensuring high-quality output and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and undertake repairs in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure minimal downtime and adherence to production schedules.
Install, commission, and maintain new equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work using our electronic maintenance management system.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and foster a safe working environment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience working in a similar maintenance role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Competency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and manuals.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Flexibility to work shifts and respond to out-of-hours emergencies if required.
