An innovative and well-established South Wales manufacturer, with exciting growth plans are looking to add an experienced Production Manager to their team. This company are part of a multi-national group and operate on a global scale and supply into a diverse range of industry sectors. They are currently looking at developing their market share in emerging markets in the US and Far East.

Roles & Responsibilities

Direct and control all the above and distribute employees to ensure that they are appropriately motivated, trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
Coordinate plant activities alongside departmental managers to ensure corporate, group, and plant objectives are met.
Contribute to the development of the company’s corporate strategy and lead strategy development in the area of production, to ensure that the company achieves its short and long-term objectives
Provide vision and direction alongside the Plant leadership team while driving daily plant objectives by setting expectation and driving accountability. Initiate strategies at the plant level and carry out the delivery of plant objectives.
Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the production, function achieves its business objectives.
Ensure the efficiency and performance of the Plant.
Develop and control profits, plans, and budgets.
Deploy corporate Lean Manufacturing and other productivity initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Extensive experience in manufacturing management
Previous experience in a manufacturing background – ideally automotive, aerospace etc
Experience instilling cultural change
Visible leader
