Our client is a leading machinery manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are a leading design and manufacturing company, supplying to a number of sectors. They’re looking to expand their Design team along with their increase in customer orders. They are looking for a Project Design Engineer that wants to develop their career and take responsibility across different areas of the business.

Role & Responsibilities:

Design from scratch bespoke machinery for customers
Ensure time frames through from drawings, procurement, design, assembly, and delivery are all kept within
Manage a team of 2 other Design Engineers, taking responsibility for individual and team projects
Working with Autodesk to create 3D designs
Works include only mechanical designs- hydraulic and pneumatics
Client travel is required to understand customer specifications
Assist in machinery improvements on customer sites

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Must have Autodesk Inventor experience
SolidWorks and/or CAD experience would be desirable
Strong mechanical engineering understanding
Shopfloor experience – Engineering background is great
Ideally 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer working closely with customers
Proven experience managing Design projects
