Our client is a leading prototype manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that’s quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and due to growth into various export markets they are looking for a Projects co-ordinator to bridge a number of departments and help clients move their product from a design to prototype.

Role & Responsibilities:

You will be the bridge between sales, production, customers and sub-contract suppliers.
You will provide technical advice, quotations, capacity and schedule information to assist customers in achieving their product requirements and deadlines.
The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, computer literacy and a sound engineering background.
Commercial awareness and an ability to keep a level head under pressure is also important. Within our existing team we have one Projects Manager and 5 Project Co-ordinators.
The new employee is more of a junior role and will suit someone with some experience but looking to develop and improve skills levels in a very busy and demanding department.
Will be responsible for the management of customer Quotes to Orders to Dispatch. Dealing with any problem, quality issues that may happen.
Will be advising clients of the best ways to move their CAD design from an idea to a prototype.
Will be dealing with project values from £50 to £40,000 so needs to be commercially aware.
They have lots of different production methods on site (Fountry, CNC machines, Laser based process for plastic parts, Vacuum casting)
The role, although primarily office-based, will also involve external visits to other group companies and customers.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Engineering apprenticeship
The ability to understand, read and interpret CAD drawings
Knowledge of tooling and 3D printing would be desirable

Salary: – £25,000 – £33,000
Hours: – Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm
