A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join to Aerospace Component Manufacturing Company in the Cheltenham area.

Role & Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems according to established procedures and specifications.
Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface quality.
Perform visual inspections to identify defects, irregularities, or deviations from quality standards.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of quality initiatives.
Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality inspection in the aerospace sector.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in the aerospace industry.
Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in inspections.
Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
Experience using measurement tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Certification in quality inspection or related field is desirable.
Willingness to undergo additional training and certification as required.
