Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER

£55,000 + TRAINING + BENEFITS

Due to continued success and securing new lucrative contracts , my client are looking to add to their successful Design Department with the addition of a Lead Design Engineer.

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer. If you’re a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of designs within the Aviation sector and have the opportunity to lead projects from cradle to grave.

THE ROLE:

Leading Projects in a busy Design department.
Developing complete approved Design solutions.
Work on a variety of aerospace projects for Aero – Structures, Engines & relevant systems. Wing design is one example.
Signing off designs from team members – going through the relevant verification process.
Liaison with customers, sub-contractors and internal staff.

THE PERSON:

Degree educated or equivalent in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering. (Will also consider engineering apprenticeships)
Experienced as a Design Engineer, ideally already leading projects – does not need to be within Aviation.
Track record of mentoring junior team members.
Experience in: Catia, Solidworks or Inventor is essential.
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal communications skills
Knowledge of Aviation regulations would be a big advantage, otherwise can provide training.
Attention to detail.
