Description

We are currently seeking a proactive and results-oriented Shift Manager to join our client’s team in Wigan. As a key player in their operations, you will be responsible for driving productivity and efficiency across a range of departments within a fast-paced FMCG environment. With a strong focus on leadership and resource management, you will play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing success and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing diverse teams and departments, with the ability to implement effective processes that support our continuous improvement ethos. You will have a strategic mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to achieving outstanding results.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate daily shift operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Manage resources effectively across multiple departments, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Implement lean manufacturing practices to streamline operations and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct performance reviews and set achievable targets for team members.
Communicate effectively with other shift managers and departments to ensure consistency and quality across operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a managerial role within the FMCG industry is essential.
Strong understanding of managing operations in multiple departments.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to implement and drive continuous improvement processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Good working knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
